Children of Tlaloc (work in progress)

An illustrated novel about family, loss and friendship.

Our personal experiences define the stories we want to tell. That is the case with this personal project, inspired by combining the ancient Aztec civilizations and the complexities of modern family relationships, this book is aimed for middle grade readers willing to dive into the singular journey of Amelia, an eleven year old Mexican girl that meets a strange kid in the forest. The meeting will forever change Amelia's understanding of life and loss, forcing her to embark on a unforgettable journey. I'm designing characters, environments and props to bring this story to life.
